TRADEMARK OFFICE CONFIRMS WHICH TYPES OF ENTITIES ARE OBLIGED TO REGISTER THEIR DATABASES IN THE NATIONAL DATABASES REGISTRY
Through concept No. 18-2594 filed on February 5, 2018, the Colombian Trademark Office, reiterates and confirms that the obligation to carry out the registration of databases in the National Database Registry is limited to those companies and non-profit entities that have total assets exceeding 100,000 Tax Value Units (UVT) as well as legal entities of a public nature
Additionally, the aforementioned entity states that there are three different dates to go forth with the registration in the aforementioned databases, as follows:
(i) Until September thirty (30) for companies and non-profit entities that have total assets exceeding 610,000 Tax Value Units (UVT).
(ii) Until November thirty (30) for companies and non-profit entities that have total assets greater than 100,000 and up to 610,000 Tax Value Units (UVT).
(iii) Until the thirty-first (31) of January 2019, for legal entities of a public nature.
