Nazly Duarte is an associate at Posse Herrera Ruiz since 2021. Her practice focuses on Dispute Resolution.
Nazly has more than four years of experience, including her counseling of clients before national courts as well as in national and international arbitration proceedings.
Prior to joining Posse Herrera Ruiz, Nazly worked as an Associate at a leading dispute resolution law firm in Colombia focused on infrastructure, energy, and mining sectors. She also has experience working as a Legal Consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank, Legal Extern at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) of the World Bank, and as a lawyer at the Arbitration Center of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota.
Nazly holds a law degree from Universidad Externado de Colombia and she graduated as an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center. Nazly was awarded with the Dean’s Certificate for outstanding service to the Georgetown Law community and she served as the President of the Georgetown International Arbitration Society (GIAS), and the LL.M. Chair of the Latin American Law Students Association (LALSA). Furthemore, during her time at Georgetown she worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for the Advancement of the Rule of Law in the Americas (CAROLA), and more recently as as a Legal Fellow at New Markets Lab, a non-profit organization dedicated to legal and regulatory reform in developing markets.
Nazly is a member of the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia, and previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Young Arbitration Network for the Arbitration Center of Bogota Chamber of Commerce.
