{"id":7563,"date":"2016-10-06T12:51:05","date_gmt":"2016-10-06T17:51:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/phrdev.pixelpro.website\/novedades\/external-resolution-colombian-central-bank\/"},"modified":"2020-10-26T08:04:50","modified_gmt":"2020-10-26T13:04:50","slug":"external-resolution-colombian-central-bank","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/phrlegal.com\/en\/novelties-en\/external-resolution-colombian-central-bank\/","title":{"rendered":"EXTERNAL RESOLUTION OF THE COLOMBIAN CENTRAL BANK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>EXTERNAL RESOLUTION OF THE COLOMBIAN CENTRAL BANK <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Board of Directors of the Colombian Central Bank  recently made amendments to the External Resolution No. 8 of year 2000 by which the foreign exchange regime is regulated <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Resolution No. 7 of the 31<sup>st<\/sup> of august of 2016 includes a series of amendments to the current Foreign Exchange Regime contained on External Resolution No. 8 of year 2000. The main changes include the possibility of stipulating operations of external debt in legal or foreign currency and the introduction of new intermediaries of the foreign exchange market, among others <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Last August 31th, the Board of Directors of the Colombian Central Bank modified the Foreign Exchange Regime contained on External Resolution No. 8.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The main changes include the amendment to Article 24, where it is determined that credits granted by residents to nonresidents disbursed on legal currency are operations that not necessarily have to be channelized through the foreign exchange market.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, it is set that the loans should be disbursed and paid in foreign currency but they may be stipulated in legal or foreign currency.
