{"id":8484,"date":"2016-06-22T20:43:57","date_gmt":"2016-06-23T01:43:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/phrdev.pixelpro.website\/novedades-categoria\/brazil-8\/"},"modified":"2020-10-28T10:10:22","modified_gmt":"2020-10-28T15:10:22","slug":"brazil-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/phrlegal.com\/en\/novelties-en\/brazil-8\/","title":{"rendered":"BRAZIL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>BRAZIL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ACELERATED EXAMINATION FOR INDUSTRIAL DESIGN APPLICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (BPTO), published Resolution No. 167\/2016 which refers to the accelerated examination for industrial design applications related to sporting goods.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Brazilian government decided to implement the acceleration for industrial design examinations related to sporting goods through Resolution No. 167\/2016, as a measure to promote the commercialization of said designs due to the upcoming Olympic Games, to be held in Rio de Janeiro, starting on August 2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For the prioritized examination to be accepted the industrial design application must meet the following requirements: (i) the object of the application for industrial design registration must be a sports product; (ii) the filing date of the industrial design application must be before June 16<sup>th<\/sup> 2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The deadline to apply for prioritized examination is June 30<sup>th<\/sup> 2016.
