The mentioned treaty establishes new international rules in regards to the protection of the rights of audiovisual work performers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The aforementioned treaty extends the rights and guarantees of assets to the actors of films, films, television, etc., whose economic rights were not always guaranteed in the current national legislation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Colombian National Copyright Office subscribed to the mentioned treaty in 2012 within the framework of the Diplomatic Conference on the Protection of Audiovisual Performances held that year in Beijing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Please find the link provided by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) where you can consult the Treaty\u2019s text below:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><a style=\"color: #99cc00;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wipo.int\/wipolex\/es\/treaties\/text.jsp?file_id=295838\">www.wipo.int\/wipolex\/es\/treaties\/text.jsp?file_id=295838<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RATIFICATION OF THE BEIJING TREATY<\/p>\n<p>On June 15th 2017, the Colombian House of Representatives approved the Law by the means of which the ratification of the Beijing Treaty was proposed.
