AUGUST 1<sup>st<\/sup> 2017, WHICH MODIFIES ISSUES RELATED TO INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>On August 1<sup>st<\/sup> 2017, the Colombian Patent and Trademark Office issued Resolution No. 46528, modifying the provisions found in Titles I and X of the <em>Circular \u00danica<\/em> for matters related to Industrial Property.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong> <\/strong><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Among the most outstanding changes are those made to literal b) of numeral 6.2, and those made to numeral 6.7.1 of Chapter six of Title I of the <em>Circular \u00danica<\/em> which emphasize on the availability of an e-mail address in order for the Trademark and Patent Office to carry out the necessary notifications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Likewise, we highlight the modifications mentioned in articles 6 and 7 of the aforementioned resolution, according to which when the patent\u2019s applicant files the claim chapter of the invention with the request or during the procedure with corresponding changes, said claim chapter must be sent in DOC (Word) format.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Finally, the Colombian Patent and Trademark Office include changes regarding the transformation of the protection in Colombia of an international trademark registration
