María Fernanda Flórez has been an associate at Posse Herrera Ruiz since 2021 and is a member of the Labor and Immigration practice group. She has over 9 years of experience advising companies, primarily in the private sector, on the comprehensive management of labor relations, with a focus on individual labor law and immigration law.

Her practice focuses on providing strategic counsel to employers on compliance with labor obligations, structuring employment relationships, termination processes, handling labor contingencies, and overall workforce management. She also currently coordinates the firm’s immigration practice, where she leads comprehensive immigration advisory services, including the structuring and management of the different types of visas available for foreign nationals entering Colombia. In this role, she integrates the labor and immigration aspects arising from the hiring, assignment, stay, and termination of expatriate employees, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations.

She is a Next-Gen member of the Employment Law Alliance (ELA) and a member of the Colombian Immigration Law Association (ACODEMI).
