At Posse Herrera Ruiz we believe that fostering diversity leads to increased creativity. This allows us to approach our clients’ issues from diverse perspectives, leading to comprehensive solutions, without affecting the company’s culture or values. In Posse Herrera Ruiz we have implemented a “Code of conduct and professional ethics” which is strictly enforced and serves as a guide to our behavior in our relationships within the firm and with customers, suppliers, and colleagues, striving to generate a positive impact within our team members, in our society and in our environment.
GUIDELINES OF CONDUCT
DIVERSITY IN THE FIRM:
- In Posse Herrera Ruiz we act under principles of equality and non- discrimination of any kind including religion or personal convictions, marital status, gender, sexual orientation, economic situation, philosophical or political beliefs, age, racial origin, disability or any other condition or personal or social circumstance that can be considered against individuals’ rights.
- We promote respect for diversity and inclusion in the work environment as an element that contributes to improving the work environment and results. PHR has zero tolerance towards discrimination in the workplace.
- We oppose any form of moral, labor or sexual harassment, as well as threatening or coercive conducts towards our professionals, and/or verbal or physical humiliating acts that may generate a hostile environment. Confirmed cases of such actions will be grounds for dismissal from the firm.

Diversity is one of our main cornerstones and our firm seeks to improve our diversity and inclusion metrics on a permanent basis.

Posse Herrera Ruiz understands family situations can change. That is why Posse Herrera Ruiz provides the flexibility to work remotely when family or personal conditions warrant it. We currently have lawyers working remotely in New York, Washington D.C., Spain and México. We also offer flex time so that our lawyers can tend to their families.
WE KEEP AND WELCOME GOOD PEOPLE, NO MATTER WHERE THEY COME FROM:
We promote diversity among our lawyers and staff welcoming professionals from most regions of Colombia as well as other nationalities. We have been welcoming talented migrant professionals from other countries, more particularly Venezuelans during the past year. Our partners in post retirement age can opt to continue as members of the firm, sharing their knowledge and experience with the younger generations and helping them with their own careers.
Inclusion
Posse Herrera Ruiz is also part of the Best Buddies program by which we have an employee with cognitive disabilities working in the firm. We also provide support in the labor programs of the organization.
