Rafael advises multinational companies on the structuring and implementation of labor strategies that support the launch and expansion of their operations in Colombia, with a practical, efficient approach aligned with global standards.
His practice focuses on the design of compensation schemes, including equity compensation plans and international remuneration policies, as well as the structuring of retirement plans and executive benefits. He has extensive experience advising companies across various industries —including start-ups, financial services, technology, healthcare, and chemical sectors— on collective labor relations and collective bargaining processes.
Supports clients in the local implementation of global corporate policies, the optimization of workforce structures, and the strategic hiring of foreign talent for senior executive positions. Conducting due diligence processes in the context of mergers and acquisitions, providing a strategic perspective on labor risk mitigation.
Member of the Colombian Bar Association for Labor Law (Colegio de Abogados del Trabajo), serves as an arbitrator appointed by the Labor Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice for the resolution of collective disputes, and is Vice Chair for Latin America of the Next-Gen program at the Employment Law Alliance (ELA).
