Laura Becerra has been an associate at Posse Herrera Ruiz since 2022. His practice focuses on Intellectual Property (IP), particularly patents, industrial designs and health matters. Laura has 9 years of experience that includes searches, freedom to operate, drafting, filing, prosecution and defense of invention patents, utility models and industrial designs, in regulatory advice and prosecution.

Laura has advised national and international clients in the chemical, pharmaceutical, biological, biotechnology, agrochemical, engineering, food, medicine, and alcoholic beverages sectors. Prior to joining Posse, Herrera Ruiz worked as a chemical consultant in the patent area of two local law firms. Laura worked as a full professor at Universidad de Ciencias Ambientales y Aplicadas (UDCA) from 2016 to 2022, where she taught in different areas of Chemistry. She also worked as a full professor and research assistant at the Universidad de los Andes from 2014 to 2016.
