Posse Herrera Ruiz appoints new directors to lead strategics areas of the firm
Bogotá, Colombia – Posse Herrera Ruiz is pleased to announce the appointment of four new highly skilled and experienced directors, who will further strengthen its leadership in the legal services market in Colombia and the region.
Julián Aguirre will be the new head of Fintech and funds. Julián is an expert in financial, regulatory and securities law, with more than 18 years of experience advising clients on banking, investment funds and fintech matters. Additionally, he has advised domestic and foreign clients in the legal structuring of projects and investments in the financial, real estate, infrastructure, agricultural, hotel and software markets.
Erika Serrano will be part of the Environmental and Sustainability team as head of the practice. Erika is an expert in environmental law matters with more than 11 years of experience advising national and international companies. Her focus on sustainable development and environmental management has allowed her to obtain positive results for her clients. Erika has extensive experience in environmental permitting and sanctioning processes, as well as in the management and handling of controlled chemical substances.
Estefanía Ponce will be the head of our Barranquilla office, from where she will continue working in Commercial and Investment Arbitration. Estefanía has more than 14 years of experience in dispute resolution, commercial arbitration and advising investments under the ICC, ICDR, UNCITRAL, Swiss, ICSID and Bogota Chamber of Commerce Rules, representing States, state entities, commercial companies and foreign investors, in the transportation, hydrocarbons, infrastructure, port services and electric energy sectors.
Felipe Pardo will serve as Director of Tax Compliance. With more than 9 years of experience in tax and fiscal matters, Felipe is recognized for his deep technical knowledge and strategic approach to address the most complex tax challenges. He has worked as a consultant in national and international accounting firms and his professional practice has focused on IFRS implementation, training and consulting. Felipe has been internationally certified since 2013 by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales – ICAEW.
