Sofía has four years of experience on environmental matters in the private sector. Her experience is focused on legal advice of the environmental regulatory compliance and environmental risk management taking into account the interests of each client and their projects. Additionally, she has experience in environmental sanctioning processes and applications, modifications and assignments of licenses and permits, authorizations and other proceedings before regional and national environmental authorities.

Before joining Posse Herrera Ruiz, she worked in some law firms in Bogotá as a legal associate in the environmental and natural resources area. Sofía is a lawyer from the Pontifica Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá and has a specialization in Environmental Law from the Universidad Externado de Colombia.
