Simón Otálora has been an associate at Posse Herrera Ruiz in 2022. His practice focuses on tax litigation and tax controversies. Simón has more than 1 year and a half of experience in matters related to tax refunds/or compensations request, as well as administrative and judicial discussions with national and territorial tax authorities.

He is currently a member of the Semillero de Estudios Interdisciplinarios de la Tributación at Universidad de los Andes. Mining, hotel and entertainment, food and beverage, telecommunications, and oil and gas are some of the industries in which Simon has focused his practice. Prior to joining Posse Herrera Ruiz, Simón worked in a startup.
