Jaison Vega Laiton has been an associate at Posse Herrera Ruiz since 2024. His professional practice focuses on Infrastructure advising national and international clients on the structuring, negotiation, financing, bidding, and contractual management of infrastructure projects, including road, port, airport, rail, mass transit, and public utility projects, among others.
Jaison has seven years of experience advising public sector entities and private sector actors on matters related to public law, state contracting, financial transactions, and transportation infrastructure projects developed through public works contracts, concessions, and public-private partnerships.
Before joining Posse Herrera, he worked as an advisor in the legal office and the Directorate of Public Credit and National Treasury at the Ministry of Finance, the Legal Vice Presidency of the National Infrastructure Agency, in the Financial and Fiscal Units and Government and Anti-Corruption units of the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C., and in the Infrastructure and Banking Law teams at local law firm. In these roles, he advised government entities, financial institutions, and concessionaires on matters related to contractual management and bankability of infrastructure projects, promoting competition in public procurement processes, and the drafting, issuance, and constitutional and fiscal review of resolutions, decrees, bills, laws, and legislative acts.
