Mario Francisco Barraza Laverde has been a Tax Attorney at Posse Herrera Ruiz since 2026. His professional practice focuses on Tax Consulting.

Mario has 1 year of experience in matters related to the application of Double Taxation Agreements (DTAs), the determination of permanent establishments, income tax, VAT, tax procedure, obtaining and updating the Tax Identification Number (RUT), research on tax compliance, and tax planning.

Before joining Posse Herrera Ruiz, Mario completed his internship at the firm Roldán Uribe & Álvarez and worked as a legal assistant at Moreno Machado Abogados. Both are national firms, the former specializing in administrative law and infrastructure, and the latter in financial, civil, and commercial law.

He has participated in various national and international competitions, achieving first place as Best Oralist at the 15th International Tax Moot Court organized by the Ibero-American Observatory of International Taxation in 2025.
