We announce the appointment of Héctor Otálora, Andrea Henao, María Alejandra Medina, and Camilo Lovera as new Directors of the firm, effective August 1, 2026.

With the appointment of Héctor Otálora and Andrea Henao, the firm consolidates its leadership in advising on projects involving real estate, urban planning, and territorial development matters.
Héctor Otálora, Director in the Real Estate, Urban Planning and Agribusiness practice, is a lawyer from Universidad Santo Tomás, with postgraduate degrees in Urban Law and Environmental Law from Universidad del Rosario. He has 15 years of experience in urban planning law and has developed his career in matters related to urban regulations, territorial planning, and project development. Before joining PHR, he worked at Ecopetrol S.A. and Camacol.
Andrea Henao, Director in the Urban Planning practice, is an architect from Universidad de La Salle and holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. She has 16 years of experience in the structuring and management of urban and real estate projects, including commercial, industrial, hospitality, and residential projects.
In the areas of Corporate, Foreign Exchange, and Mergers and Acquisitions Law, the firm strengthens its team with the appointment of María Alejandra Medina and Camilo Lovera as Directors.
María Alejandra Medina, Director in the Corporate and Foreign Exchange practice, is a lawyer from Universidad del Rosario, with postgraduate degrees in Commercial Law and Financial Law, and a Master’s degree in Private Law from Universidad de los Andes. She has 15 years of experience advising national and international companies on corporate, commercial, foreign exchange, and transactional matters.
Camilo Lovera, Director in the Mergers and Acquisitions practice, is a lawyer from Universidad de los Andes and holds an LL.M. from New York University School of Law. He has 10 years of experience in local and international transactions in sectors such as energy, mining, aviation, and manufacturing, and previously served as an International Associate at Greenberg Traurig in Miami.
With these appointments, Posse Herrera Ruiz continues to strengthen its capabilities to advise companies, investors, and developers on strategic matters for their businesses in Colombia and the region.
