We regularly structure and document private placements and products, such as private equity and venture capital funds.

Posse Herrera Ruiz has played a key role structuring and closing the most innovative project finance transactions in Colombia, representing commercial banks, international financial institutions, project sponsors, infrastructure funds and other equity investors, financial advisors, underwriters and contractors in the development, financing, construction, operation and acquisition of a wide range of capital intensive projects, including power plants, oil and gas fields, refineries, mines, ethanol and biodiesel plants, telecommunication networks, airports, ports, toll roads, industrial plants and other infrastructure projects. The Finance and Capital Markets practice works closely with our Tax Planning practice to optimize Cross-border tax treatment.

The firm additionally has represented several foreign financial, capital markets and insurance entities both in their incorporation in Colombia and in the negotiation of currently existing companies, including the corresponding authorizations from the regulatory authorities. The firm has also been key in obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals for insurance M&A transactions in the insurance industry.
