Ana Isabel Cano Bará is an associate at Posse Herrera Ruiz since 2026. Her practice focuses on the management and handling of dispute resolution, national and international arbitration, and administrative, contractual, and constitutional litigation involving state entities, as well as national and international private companies.
She has more than five years of experience in matters related to public law, infrastructure, insurance, and oil & gas. She has developed solid practice in complex proceedings before the administrative and ordinary jurisdictions, playing a key role in the definition of procedural strategies, as well as in the resolution of disputes through national and international arbitration proceedings under the rules of ICSID, ICDR, ICC, and CCB. Ana Isabel has actively participated in the structuring of complex litigation strategies, the drafting of highly complex pleadings and procedural documents, assistance in hearings, and the comprehensive representation of national and international clients.
Her professional practice has been primarily developed in the infrastructure, energy, oil & gas, insurance and healthcare sectors, advising concessionaires, autonomous trusts, financial institutions, insurance companies, international corporations, and companies in the healthcare and energy sectors.
Before joining Posse Herrera Ruiz, Ana Isabel worked at Rincón Castro Abogados taking an active role in national and international arbitration matters related to Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), infrastructure and energy projects, as well as dispute resolution before national courts in public law matters associated with these industries. Prior to this experience, she worked at a leading Colombian law firm specialized in insurance law, civil liability, and public law, representing insurance companies before the ordinary and administrative jurisdictions.
She is a member of the Colombian Insurance Association (ACOLDESE).
