Carolina Posada is Co-Head of the Dispute Resolution practice at Posse Herrera Ruiz, with a focus on national and international arbitration.
She has more than 28 years of experience in dispute resolution, representing clients before civil and administrative courts, as well as national and international arbitration tribunals. Her practice encompasses a broad range of matters, including contractual liability, torts, damages, insurance and reinsurance, distribution agreements, corporate and M&A disputes, and construction and infrastructure projects, among others.
Carolina serves as an arbitrator for the Colombia’s leading arbitration centers, including major Chambers of Commerce and the Superintendence of Corporations. She is also listed as an arbitrator with the Inter-American Commercial Arbitration on (IACAC), AMCHAM Peru, and the Arbitration Center of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. In addition,she acts as a sports arbitrator for the Dispute Resolution Chamber of the Colombian Soccer Federation. She has served as chair, co-arbitrator, and sole arbitrator in numerous domestic and international proceedings under the rules of various arbitration institutions.
She represents Colombia as a delegate to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR and is a member of the Colombian Arbitration Committee of the ICC, the Award Scrutiny Commission of CIAM-CIAR, and the Latin American Arbitration Association (ALARB). She has also acted as an expert on Colombian law before state courts in the United States.
Carolina is a frequent speaker at arbitration conferences and events across Latin America and the author of several publications on arbitration.
She represents Colombia as a delegate to the Commission on Arbitration and ADR of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), as a member of the Colombian Arbitration Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), of the Award Scrutiny Commission of CIAM-CIAR, and of the Latin American Arbitration Association (ALARB), Additionally, she has acted as an expert on Colombian law before state courts in the United States of America.
