Daniela Abril has been an associate at Posse Herrera Ruiz since 2025. Her professional practice focuses on Dispute Resolution.
Daniela has more than five years of experience handling complex disputes arising from international trade agreements, as well as investment and commercial arbitrations under the CCB, ICC, ICDR, and ICSID Rules.
Her experience includes advising and representing domestic and international clients in sectors such as road and port infrastructure, mining, and telecommunications.
Before joining the firm, she worked at a Colombian law firm specialized in arbitration and litigation. She also completed an externship with the international arbitration team of a U.S. law firm based in Washington, D.C. Additionally, she served as an attorney in the Office of International Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Trade, where she defended Colombia’s interests before international forums.
She is a researcher for the Measuring and Building Institutional Capacity for Investor-State Dispute Settlement in Latin America and the Caribbean (MBIC) project at the Center for the Advancement of the Rule of Law in the Americas (CAROLA) at Georgetown University. She has also taught the International Litigation seminar at Universidad Externado de Colombia.
