Felipe Pardo is a director at Posse Herrera Ruiz. He co-directs the tax compliance area and heads the firm’s accounting compliance area. He is also a member of the executive and fiscal committee of IFA Colombia and a former member of the Academic, Technical, Accounting, and Economic Commission of the Colombian Institute of Tax Law (ICDT acronyms in Spanish).
He is a Certified Public Accountant – CPA from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Specialist in Taxation from the Universidad de los Andes, and has been internationally certified in IFRS since 2013 by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales – ICAEW.
Before joining PHR, he worked as a consultant in national and international accounting firms. His professional practice has focused on the implementation, training, and consulting on IFRS accounting issues, as well as advising and structuring tax matters related to company acquisitions and sales, reorganizations, and all types of corporate transactions. He has extensive experience in training on specific projects and non-formal education.
He has been invited as a speaker and panelist on tax and accounting topics by IFA, ICDT and Legis, in addition to being an author and co-author of articles and books of an accounting and tax nature (i.e. Accounting Principles – Basic aspects of international financial accounting with a tax perspective; ICDT Magazine 91 “Towards a comprehensive reform of the Colombian tax system”).
