Gabriel Sánchez is a partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Infrastructure & Projects practices at Posse Herrera Ruiz. He advises strategic and financial investors on complex domestic and cross-border M&A and project transactions, bringing seasoned experience across deployed infrastructure projects, project financing, and corporate governance.
Before joining Posse Herrera Ruiz in 2008, Gabriel served in the legal department of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce. He later completed an international internship at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York (2012–2013), working with the finance and M&A teams on infrastructure project finance and M&A mandates. His experience includes representing sponsors in infrastructure projects and advising on acquisitions.
Gabriel has acted for buyers and sellers in numerous successful transactions and regularly counsels clients on corporate governance, board matters, conflicts of interest, commercial contracts, shareholder disputes, and shareholder agreements. He also advises on project origination, financing, and project-related transactions across the infrastructure lifecycle.
He earned his law degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (2004), a specialization in Economics from Universidad de los Andes (2007), and a specialization in Corporate Law from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (2009). Gabriel has taught in the Corporate Law specialization program at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
