Jorge de los Ríos is a partner at Posse Herrera Ruiz. His practice focuses on Competition Law, Consumer Protection, Unfair Competition Litigation, Personal Data Protection, Cybersecurity, E-Commerce, and Compliance. He has advised and represented multinational and local companies from various sectors of the economy in some of the most relevant free competition cases in Colombia, including merger control processes, business cartels, and leniency processes in Colombia. Additionally, he has advised companies on various product safety campaigns for defective products, consumer protection investigations, and personal data protection and cybersecurity.
In parallel to his professional practice, he has served as a professor of Competition Law at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and at the Eafit University of Medellín and has been a postgraduate professor at various universities in Colombia on multiple occasions. Jorge is repeatedly invited as an expert lecturer to multiple conferences specialized in Competition Law issues in Colombia and abroad and is a founding member of the Colombian Association of Competition Law ACDC.
Jorge has authored several specialized publications on Competition Law issues. He is a graduate of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and has master’s and postgraduate studies from Robert Schuman University and King’s College London, respectively.
