Laura Torrado has been an associate at Posse Herrera Ruiz since 2019. She has over ten years of experience and her professional practice focuses on Competition Law, Data Protection, Unfair Competition and Consumer Protection.
Laura has extensive experience advising and representing companies across a wide range of industries and sectors on Competition Law, Personal Data, Consumer Protection and Unfair Competition. She has been involved in numerous merger control, antitrust and consumer protection cases in Colombia. Before joining Posse Herrera Ruiz, she worked at local firms and as an In-house lawyer at Unilever.
She was assistant professor of Competition Law at Universidad Javeriana. In 2024, she was awarded the International Bar Association (IBA) Antitrust Committee Scholarship for Young Lawyers. She is a lawyer from the Universidad Javeriana, has a post graduate degree in Competition Law from the same university and holds an LLM degree on Law and Economics from Utrecht University.
