Laura Vietto is an associate at Posse Herrera Ruiz. Her professional practice focuses on the area of Environmental law. Laura advises mining, energy, and oil and gas companies, as well as manufacturing companies, on environmental matters, especially in relation to permitting procedures, regulatory compliance, and representation in environmental sanctioning proceedings.

Her experience is focused on analyzing the profiles of each of her clients, as well as the projects they execute, to provide comprehensive legal advice on environmental regulatory compliance and environmental risk management. Likewise, Laura has accompanied and represented companies before different national authorities, such as the National Environmental Licensing Authority, the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, the District Environmental Secretariat of Bogota and the Ministry of Justice and Law in the preparation from a legal perspective of the responses to the requirements made and in the interposition of the defense mechanisms that may be required.

Laura has also advised national and international companies in the due diligence process of important transactions. Prior to joining Posse Herrera Ruiz, Laura worked for a foreign law firm specialized in mergers and acquisitions in the Umbria region of Italy.
