Mariana Vélez has been an Associate at Posse Herrera Ruiz since 2023. Her practice focuses on Customs, International Trade, Transportation, and Logistics.

She has experience advising local and foreign clients on matters related to international trade, customs regulation, transportation, logistics operations, and intellectual property. Her work includes advising on free trade zones, registrations and authorizations for foreign trade operators, free trade agreements, customs valuation, customs regimes, international physical distribution, import and export logistics, and regulatory matters related to the transportation of goods.

Before joining Posse Herrera Ruiz, Mariana worked at a local law firm.

Mariana is a lawyer who graduated with honors from Universidad EAFIT and holds an MIB — Master of International Business. She also has additional studies in foreign exchange law and international investments, customs and international trade law, and intellectual property.
