Paula Sarmiento has been an associate at Posse Herrera Ruiz since 2025. Her practice focuses on Intellectual Property, with particular interest in trademarks, patents, copyrights, entertainment law, and health regulatory matters. 

Paula advises domestic and foreign companies on the registration, protection, and strategic management of intangible assets, as well as on contractual matters related to intellectual property and regulatory compliance in the life sciences sector. 

Prior to joining Posse Herrera Ruiz, Paula gained experience in corporate and financial law at a local firm, where she advised financial and technology sector entities on corporate, contractual, and regulatory compliance matters. 

Paula holds a Postgraduate Degree in Commercial Law with an emphasis in Intellectual Property and New Technologies from Universidad Javeriana.
