PHR acted as Colombian local counsel to CorpGroup in the negotiation, execution, and closing of the share purchase agreement to sell its stake in Itaú CorpBanca Colombia S.A. in favor of Itaú Corpbanca and Itaú Holding Colombia S.A.S. and to use the proceeds of the sell transaction to repay CorpGroup’s refinance debt with Itaú Unibanco S.A. – Nassau Branch. The transaction was carried out within the framework of CorpGroup Banking’s filing for judicial reorganization under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code of the United States.
